Watson stopped manufacturing hydrocodone pills in 2015 or 2016.

Miss Lizzy - If you are still trying to deal with the pain that you are in and no longer want to be taking a narcotic I highly suggest going to your doctor and getting them to give you a referral to a therapist or psycologist...Physical withdrawl is one thing...However, the mental and emotional side of dealing with daily pain is that it acts as a depressant. The best way that I have found to deal with chronic pain is to be on anti-depressants...It is true that you are trading off from 1 pill to another but the payoff has been well worth it for me. I am in pain regardless of the pain medications that I have taken and I felt it difficult to face each day dealing with the unyielding saga each day...I thought at first...Did my doctor put me on anti-depressants to be "happy" that I hurt all of the time...I keep a journal and about but 2 weeks to the day after I began taking them my son told me that it was nice to see me being more active...I didn't even realize it until he pointed it out...The pain is still apart of my daily life but it doesn't control me anymore...I keep pain meds on hand for really bad days when the weather changes or if I over do it...but it is just a band-aid...Good Luck to you on this journey...

The white ones to me do not work as well. I wish they would just leave everything alone! Because when your in pain you can tell the difference!

The only way I have ever heard of getting off of Norco by yourself is to titrate down gently. For example, if you are taking 4 tabs per day start taking 3 per day. Stay on 3 per day for one month then go to 2 per day for a month. After that go to 2 1/2 per day for a month and go down 1/2 pill per day for a month then when you get to 1/2 pill per day try to not take any at all from that point on. If you just feel that you have to have something take only 1/2 pill. Remember, if you have been on this medication for a long time not only is it physically addictive it becomes emotionally addictive too. You get used to taking your pills at a certain time everyday and that process in and of itself becomes emotionally addictive. Try to avoid things like suboxone. I was told this by two people that had major surgeries and BOTH of them told me that using Suboxone is just replacing one addiction for another one. As one of them put it "the cure is worse than the disease". MANY will say "get a script for Suboxone" but I have been told that it is not a good option. Titrate down if you have the option.
Has anyone experienced getting off Norco by themselves? If so can anyone tell me the best way to do it. I’ve been on it for about 15 years. Yes I need it for pain but just want all monkeys off my back.
I have researched the "Watson" brand hydrocodone on the internet, If I read the post correctly "Watson" bought out the "Actavis" company and they are no longer being manufactured. They are distributing the "Actavis" brand ONLY now (for generic hydrocodone). I had gotten the "Watson" brand from Walgreens over 10+ years in two different States. In January 2018 I picked up my refill as I have done for years at Walgreens and was given the "Actavis" brand unknown to me. Then I got home and saw what I had been given and tried one of them and they were just AWFUL. I have labored through appeals with my health insurance company to no avail YET. To sum it up, it is my understanding that the "Watson" brand is no longer manufactured and it there is any "Watson" brand hydrocodone (it is generic only) available it is because some pharmacy has some left over but when those are dispensed they, too, will be out and have to find a different distributor.
The white pills they give now claiming to be norco or lortab 10 "Do Not Work"! They need to bring back the BLUE lorab they use to make that did help with the pain these now are like trash! Ripoff from us and our insurance companies!
Watson 385 are they available? And are they being dispense at this time?
Re: Matthew (# 5)
I get the Yellow Norco (325-10) with the number 36 01 with a "v" on the other side.
Don't know if there Watson.
I've been taking Watson 10 325 for years and they were yellow. The ones I get now are white and don't work. What pharmacy carriers the yellow?
I get a monthly prescription of Norco 10 325 at Walgreens and they've always been watson. But they are just the white ones
Do you have to ask if they carry your hydrocodone in person only? Or can you call?
Bro f*** the Watson brand, the yellow v cuts that have a Flying V or the peach are way better. Watson are weak. If you put the peach r 7.5 against the 10/325, the peach wins and it's lower in strength, but stronger than Watson.
There is really no way of knowing, the only thing you can try is asking the pharmacies who manufactures the ones they carry.
Since it is a generic, it can vary, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when the pharmacy had to restock their supply. That is how they keep their prices down for customers.
