My local Mom & Pop pharmacy ran low on my Endocet 10/325 last month,so they gave me about 20 or so real, honest to God, name brand Percocet to hold me over for a few days - WOW, did it wipe the pain out like no one's business !! I was in (almost) 7th Heaven for a couple of days there ! I didn't have to watch the clock either, they lasted more than 4 hours - Amazing, just amazing. So I priced out NB Percocet, and it would have cost me $609.00 for one month supply - what am I buying here, a top shelf Lexus or something ?!! I know 99% positively that Endocet 10/325,has the same exact ingredients as NB Percocet, so why don't they work the same ?!?!

I recently did some research on generic meds., (actually, a lot), and folks, here's a sad fact -- the active ingredient in pain meds is allowed to fluctuate by 8% to 10%, but only in the generic versions, Not the NB ! So now you wonder why some of the pain meds out there aren't doing squat for us - sure, it may only be 8 or 10%, but to some of us that have been taking this stuff for years and years and have built up a tolerance to it, that % will make a difference ! And imagine the amount of money the drug mfr's are saving if they actually do withhold 8 or 10% of AI from each pill - well, that would be an extra pill to every 10 that they make, ergo more profit !!

Question here, has anyone ever gotten their health insurance co., (or worker's comp), to pay for the NB Percocet ? I know if a Dr contacts them & advises that NB must be taken for either allergic or other health reasons that they will sometimes bend & spring for the big bucks, but wondering if they will do it for pain meds !! Endocet has been giving me the itchies every once in a while, and while they do work better than any other I've tried, Nothing, but Nothing works better than NB Percocet ! Keep the Faith Y'all !!

I switched my script from Walgreens to Hy-Vee (a grocery store chain on the Midwest) and they have the Watson 932's.

True The NB Percocet does work best over any generic. But it just really bothers me that these novice pharmacist will back up the sale of generics saying, "well it's all the same because they are regulated and tested to all contain 10/325 strength & you're just wasting your money buying the NB Percocets". It's like they're in a d@_n trance or something. I learned a long time ago that you get what you pay for except dealing with generics from mom & pop stores, true they are cheaper than the Larger Rx's but All or most of them suck. I prefer Watson 932 (where are they) but Endocet E712 are not garbage! Site members *the Qualitest 5/325 hard round pills with a 4839|V are GOOD! I'd rather one 5mg Qualitest over those AlvogenC 230 10/325 ANYDAY! They also make a yellow capsule shape 10/325 with a 4829|V enscribed on them. They must be bomb but I have never had one, I got the Qualitest 5/325 @ Fred's Rx, it's a hit or miss with Fred's because more than less their 10/325's are Mallinkrot. I hear Caraco has a white capsule shape pill with a C 10/325 enscribed on it, Caraco makes good Promethezine tablets so + I heard they have a good rep. The rest you will NEVER catch me with that garbage I wouldn't pay $0.50 for any of them: Amneal, Alvogen, Mallinkrot they all cut corners.

Check because for the past three months all Walgreens and CVS stores in my area are not using Watson anymore in fact I can't seem to find them anywhere in the city. They are using Amneal and Actavis manufacturers. Just thought that I would give you the heads up to call before you go. Good luck and feel better soon.

William...it is very clear u r not informed on pain meds....when u should be considering u take them. There is a difference from one to the other. Its a known medical fact...not in our heads n ill leave it at that. Now...Truman...im going to assume ur asking since there arent anymore watson 10/325's since the merge with Actavis. Theres another thread on this page titled, "Watson is now actavis generic percocet 5/325 what is up with this".I advise u to go to that thread n read thru it...all of it. Its the most informative, up to date thread ive come across on here. I have tried a few diff manufacturers since the liss of Watson (they were the best with pain relief), I have come to find endocet has been the best since. Nowhere near as effective as Watson, but better than whats remains out there. Btw...endocet n brand Percocet r made by the same company.

My Watson 932, from Walgreens is now Actavis A333. I get the feeling that the A333, generic for Percocet, is made by the Jelly Belly bean company. I get the same non-relief from pain by either one. The two mfrs, Watson & Actavis, merged into some kind of pill assembling system that gave new meaning to pharmaceutical's need for profit as opposed to pain relief. A333 does not, in any way, take the place of Watson 932 in reducing spinal pain. Worse...The FDA doesn't give a damn!

CVS in Peachtree City, on Hwy 74. Josh is the Pharmacist there, he can order for you, usually takes 3 or 4 days to get them. Also my local Mom & Pop in Senoia, GA., gets them for me - overnight !

Joe g....the difference can be up to 20%... in other words 80/20. The active ingredient s can be as low as 80% to as much as 20% over .....then u have the non active ingredients/binders that can differ from one med to another, and make a difference on how one med is metabolized in ur body compated to another. Its crazy how different these meds are formulated. As far as getting meds on special order, you can call any cvs or Walgreens and ask if they will. Some do n some dont...just do it in advance. If u wait till u have ur script, ull be waiting in pain.....good luck

More pharmacies would rather not order it for you - I found this out first-hand, it's as if you're bothering them. As far as the active ingredient allowance, by FDA Law, they are allowed up to a 10% 'fudge factor' on the active ingredient, meaning the pills they manufacture could have 10% less oxy or codeine in them! they are allowed to do this but it still cannot find out why ! As far as it being 20% over,... Ha-ha, they're not going to give away their profits, that's for sure ! Wish I did t need this stuff at all - but my body just can't handle the pain without it !

I moved and had my percocet filled and this time I got endocet 10/325 instead of oxycodone 10/325. I noticed a big change in the endocet nit working as well. Im going to try a different pharmacy next month

I have had the generic from China and actually found them better than the endocet. I think it depends on the preference of the person though.

I've taken Mall, Watson, Almatica and they all worked well for me. Then I was given Alvogen. Made me sick as a dog and completely depressed my respiratory and circulatory system. Refused to take them... The funny part about that is that I worked for that company a couple of years back. I am now taking Endo Percocet and my experience is much better.

The Walgreens entire drug chain switched from Watson 923 to Actavis A333. The reason for the change is called...PROFIT. It is obvious that A333 is a much cheaper narcotic, and has a great deal less pain suppression than Watson 923. However, pain aside, buying a cheaper compound in order to raise the price seems to be the norm for pharmacies, and we as patients do not have any say in the matter. I think it's called...Modern Medicine, as approved by the FDA. If one were prone to comparisons, the current situation would be similar to wearing a contraceptive. You get a sense of security while being screwed. Let it be said, and God forgive it!

My walgreens order the endocet for me...my usual location wont, but another Walgreen s in the same town will....go figure? Theyre the only ones out of all the other generics ive tried that help at all. Youre just going to have to go from pharmacy to pharmacy until one says they will....every town/location/state is different do no one here can tell u. As for the legal difference allowance in percentage from one generic to another....I dont care what anyone here says, IT IS 20%....it can be 20% below. .meaning its 80% or it could be 20% above , meaning there's more active ingredients than average @ 120%.....which I tend to think Watson did...put more active ingredients than the norm making it more powerful in pain relief n leaving all who used Watson's unable to find anything that comes close in pain relief. Now I dont know if that last part is a fact...just what I think with all ive read n come to be aware of since Watson generics went off the shelf...but the 20% part I DO KNOW n it is a fact.

I have a very bad degenerative back & other issues, we won't get into the depth of, but I'm in pain lots of my life anymore. I have no insurance for my medications that I'm prescribed, but long story short I have been on some form of percoset for a few years, same dosage & of all the ones that helped, Endocet just really worked the best. I would pay the extra monies over 100$ to get the brand endocet. So here lately I was taking off the endocet ( only taking out the Tylenol, APAP, ) thus just taking the oxycodone in 10 mg IR form, so this will be my second month & I must say when I first started this new pure oxycodone, it was way below its active ingredient than that of endocet, & trust me I got sick, very weak, & cold you name it what you want but it's was not good & luckily I'm a tough man & saw it out for the month, ( was 1/2 the cost ) well I was told by my pharmacist to try taking a half of Tylenol w/ it, & see if it made a difference, & maybe it did but most likely not. I didn't get that jolt of extra energy I was used to in endocet, & no I don't take it for that reason but have always noticed that the endocet allows me to get some house work & overall work in general done w/ out the pain. Not the same w/these new pure oxycodones. Prices being very expensive for the 15 mg or up so I just got my regular refill & I know it's crazy but this month I got the same script, filled by same group of great Pharmacists & the brand & all was the same. I must say WOW!, what a difference just night & day, I still take a half a Tylenol & or an Advil or aleve ( Aleve is suppose to work very well synergistically w/ oxycodone, many diagnostics done on this, long story short these guys are more potent than any endocet I've ever had. Very strange & goes to show from batch/lot that something did for sure change, pain starts going away in 30 min. Or less, much happier just hope they stay this good. It cannot be that my body had to adjust to the exact same amount of oxycodone, who knows what happened. With big pharma & the sold out US gov't., who knows but if you plan to have to take for long term, get rid of all the Tylenol, not worth the liver damage. Anyone have any reasons as to why I reacted this way to the same medication please help me out. I wish you all a pain free & an overall great day. Hari Om
