I have a prescription for the hydrocodone + acetaminophen 7.5/325. Everywhere I look I can only find the white ones...and those white pills irritated my mouth every time I take them. I would like to get the oval shaped peach ones from a pharmacy, what do I need to do?

Re: MARIE (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Marie. Sorry to hear about your reaction to the white Norco tablets. Over the years pharmacies have been phasing out the colored Watson tablets and began filling prescriptions with white ones all throughout the USA. However, when it comes to patients taking action, I would probably encourage you to ask your doctor to specify a particular manufacturer's name (one that you already know works best for you) on the prescription itself. This way pharmacists will be more inclined to fill your script accordingly instead of just giving you whatever they have on the shelf at that moment.

It may be that you have to build some rapport with the pharmacist beforehand or visit a different pharmacy altogether (e.g. a small mom & pop pharmacy instead of CVS or Walgreens, etc), but others have reportedly had success going this route when trying to fill their prescriptions with a certain brand or generic.

I hope this helps!
