Watson 10/325 Pill Side Effects

Since Actavis acquired Watson I have experienced GI issues, headaches, and nausea from the 10/325 Oxycodone that is now replacing the Watson brand. I can NOT believe that the FDA would allow this replacement when the effectiveness is so very extreme. Something needs to be done.

Mad310, about your 10/325 oxycodone/acetaminophnen (tylenol), first, I am not a doctor and please don't take this as advice from a doctor. It's more like a book report from stuff I've read.

I'll just mention that any of these "opiates" (the entire class of meds that come from the opium plant, hence the name) have the effect of slowing down the digestive tract. Different people have told me the effects vary according to the opiate (oxycodone didn't stop things up as much as hydrocodone). As far as I know it happens to everyone. Romantic-Era poets (Lord Byron, Shelley, those people) complained about "The constipation, the damned constipation!"

- (Believe me -- humor and just kidding around about these subjects helps a lot, which is why I do it, not to insult anyone).
- Loperamide (Lomotil) is the root of the opium plant, I believe. Stops people up.
- Any doctor will tell you that a last resort in stopping diarrhea, which can be extremely serious in kids (kills 5 million or so a year) is an inj. of morphine. GI system stops right up.

I'll leave off there. I recommend chatting with your doc and seeing if some fine tuning of a particular med (changing brands, etc) might ease up what you're going through.
