Watch Out For This Antibiotic

Never had a problem with antibiotics. This one gave me cdif. I am still trying to get rid of cdif after six weeks and two more rounds of flagyl.

I am not sure what cdif is. My daughters grandmother had taken omnicf - for a sinus infection... after taking this she has lost her sense of smell. It has been 10-months and still nothing.

I had a terrible reaction to Ciprofloxin 15 yrs ago, and still carry the reminders in huge, red spots all over my legs. It caused a bone-deep itch that could not be reached, which lasted weeks. And after that, I was also allergic to sulfas. Cipro is a dangerous drug and should only be used as last-resort! It is a synthetically-produced one, and very strong.
Oh, it cured my bronchitis, all right, but it left me permanent reminders of that illness!
Good reading is a book called Bitter Pills about this drug and others.
Does anyone know of a website that lists drugs by families, i.e., antibiotic, antimicrobials, etc? I would appreciate having that.
