Rich: In my opinion, rather than all of us worrying about when the product will be available again, instead we should all be worrying about whether our health has been adversely affected by consuming the product that was discontinued, because it may have contained a toxic substance.

Obviously, there has been a very serious reason for this discontinuation, which Konsyl refuses to reveal. Previously, they themselves had referred to it as a “critical quality defect.”

Totally agree with you. I do not want the product back-I want answers from the Mfg as to what happened. Otherwise the makeup can be compromised again and again.I would think the FTC would be one place to ck -but other than that "The Media" NOW!!!!

I agree, can’t find anything that works as well. I sent an email to the company and they responded and said the original formula should be out late December or early January, 2018. They had no date for their other products and didn’t give a reason why it has not been available for the last 3-4 months.

Why can't I find konsyl? They changed the company's main production location, concurrent with a psyllium shortage, and are back ordered currently.

It could be that the psylumm came from india. I contacted the company and the reply was that it would be back in stores soon. However I order a similar item from costco. Will check the label when I receive it.

I found a similar product on costco's website. I will compare when it comes in the mail. People were selling konsyl online at over $80.00 or more. Robbery. The company said it would be back in dec. or jan., but I cannot find it anywhere.

Costco has one very close in label, but the orange flavor is somewhat artificial. I would try both.

Looks like they were sued by California for having lead in the product.

I Had IV's Chealation about 8 years ago to pull Lead out of my system. Also all my Amalgum fillings removed to get it out. This is really disheartening. One of my physicians said it was prob LEAD recall. I cannot go through this Chealation again. Hard to get through and very expensive.

Konsyl sent an email today stating they resumed production in November and that they have been shipping to Walmart. However WalMart has yet to return the product to its shelves. The email read that Konsyl expected WalMart to start stocking the product by February.

Having typed this, I found two containers of the original powder with the new label in my local Walmart today @ $14.44 each so maybe it really is soon to be available.

I called the company in August or September of last year. They told me that there's been a problem with some of Konsyl Original that had been made overseas, so they pulled even what had been made in the USA. The lady also said that it should be available by sometime in October and they would email me where it would be available. As of now, I have heard nothing. I can no longer find a phone number.

Not sure I feel comfortable even taking it. I think the Co. owes the consumer a detail message that is true of what happened. My Physician said wait awhile before taking again. What state are you saying WalMart has it?

Funny, I just today get an email reply saying the product would be back and that Walmart has the first shipment but They Don't Know When It Will be put on the shelf. They also said they would let me know when I could order from their site.

You can now buy 2 bottles only on Walmart's website, previously they would let you purchase only 4 at a time, which is how I have always bought it. The only caveat being that you cannot have it delivered, you must pick it up. Obviously, they would like an even distribution throughout the country. If you live near a Walmart, buy it on their website and when it gets in, they will send you an email to pick it up. I am picking up my 2 today that I ordered yesterday in Southern CA. In this way you don't have to worry about whether or not it is at your store or if someone has cleaned them out of items off of the shelves between the time that you get off of the phone and get to the store! Walmart has never stocked more than 6 in the store in the past and we shouldn't expect much now until they re-establish each store's demand. It is obviously back though, and soon, we won't have to worry about the supply chain anymore!

I just went on the Walmart website for Ga and they have plenty of Konsyl for $90.00 and more. Has to be the recalled formula.

To be clear, there was NO RECALL of Konsyl. The company was simply looking for a new supplier, for whatever reason, and it took much longer to find one, and get the operation up to standards than they anticipated. The stock on shelves ultimately ran out as the completion time was continually extended. I don't know where you live in GA, it is a good sized state, but the Austell store has one in stock for $14.44, the same as Walmart charges nationwide, and has for some time. I just looked for a couple of zips in GA and picked one. You can do the same for where you live. You must have been looking at the price per ounce which is 91 cents? If you don't have a Walmart distribution center near your residence, you won't be able to get it as quickly as a larger city. Again, it is pickup only, they won't deliver it yet. Good luck.
