Walmart And Percocet Availability

Hi. I went to Walmart to pick up my husband's pain medication. The pharmacist came up to me and she almost looked scared. And she said they wouldn't have any pain medications until Friday. What's up with that? And it's only Tuesday. I wonder what happened?

They were most likely just out of stock. Every pharmacy is given a certain allotment that they are allowed to order to have in stock each month, the amount is based on how many customers they have and the size of the pharmacy. If they run out, there is nothing they can do, until it is time for them to reorder and restock their supply. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Usually, it is a monthly ordering process, so while I can't say with certainty, it seems like they may just have run out early.

As to her looking kind of scared, she was likely afraid she was going to be hollered at by another customer, sadly, most of them only hear complaints, never compliments.

Hi. Thank you for answering my question. But I don't ever yell at the pharmacist. But I'm sure they get complaints all day long. This particular pharmacist is just a sweetheart. Have a good evening. And they know me really well. I was a little worried about her when she looked actually afraid.
