"Walgreens' alleged failure to sufficiently report suspicious orders was a systematic practice that resulted in at least tens of thousands of violations and allowed Walgreens' retail pharmacies to order and receive at least three times the Florida average for drugs such as oxycodone."

Thanks for taking the time to share this bit of info with us. Walgreens eventually had it coming to them with all the alleged government surveillance going on. Apparently they were filling customer prescriptions that they knew or should have known were not for legitimate medical use. Who knows how many other pharmacies are playing this game too? Walgreens was probably just the first to get caught red handed.

This means other pharmacies are going to be a lot stricter about adhering to every little policy as well. I can only hope that all these incidences surrounding oxycodone abuse won't ruin it for the rest of those who rely on other forms of pain medication.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Yes I have chonic pain and take oxy with a Butrans Patch, maybe i'm misunderstanding, are these falsified fraudulent scrips? How can they just decide, although they were not and thats the suppose problem, to deny a monthly legit scrip?

Is IT NOT TRUE; that WALGREENS has "bought" out Rite Aid? I DO believe this is TRUTH!! Why? A great friend of mine has been a Rite Aid Pharmacist for almost 20 years (and we do talk off her clock!) and she is an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC Pharmacist! Why is she concerned about her position? I do not LIKE at ALL seeing my "friends" fear for their job!" This COUNTRY IS SO MESSED UP!! I provide the proper ID; what is all this crap about that Walgreens is doing? Do I have to sign yet another "form" stating where I will get my medication? I love having a Pharmacist THAT I KNOW!! Turnover is TERRIBLE!!
