Walgreens 24 Hr Pharmacy Refusing To Fill Fentanyl Patch...

I am a senior citizen who is on Fentanyl patch (very low dose) and Norco. I have been on the same amounts and dose for four years and I go to a 24 hour Walgreens because I am on a night owl schedule (worked ER x 40 yrs on nights) and my son works days and we share a vehicle. I have been a Walgreens pharmacy customer at least 10 yrs. I have NEVER asked for early fill of my prescriptions, never ANY issues with scripts. Last night I went at 1AM and found a note printed and taped to the desk that said, "If you have any prescriptions for Class II narcotics, you must return to get them filled at 0800." I waited to talk to the RPh but he ignored me, so I left. I drove to another 24 hour Walgreens and promptly got the 2 prescriptions filled. WHAT the HECK is going on at Walgreens??? I called today to ask the Walgreens store Manager what kind of 'policy' this is and when it began, as I have been filling ALL of my medications at on the night shift schedule now for 1 yr, since my son and I started sharing a car. I specifically go to a 24 hr store for this reason. He said that Walgreens sometimes uses this policy because NON 24 hour stores open at 0800. He is looking into WHY I was treated this way ~via a note taped to the counter~ and WHY the RPh didn't just tell me this, but if Walgreens doesn't want my money or my Medicare/Aetna insurance payments, I will happily find a 24 hour pharmacy that does. I have never had one issue of any kind with any person at any pharmacy, so I am bewildered and insulted, and this same RPh has been quite helpful to me in the past with other medication help.I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced a time limitation for their narcotic meds?
