Worse Fibro Pain

I have been on Lyrica for 2 weeks now. Started at 75mg 2x a day, then went to 2-75mg 2x a day. My fibro pain is the absolute worst it has been in years. I have pain from head to toe. I need to sleep 12 hours a night to have my brain feel halfway normal.

My fingers look like sausages and I am totally bloated from the Lyrica. Since this is a weekend day when I'm writing this, I cannot contact my doctor. Has anyone simply stopped taking Lyrica cold turkey? I am in agony with the pain.

I have been on Lyrica since 2005 for fibromyalgia and one of the main things I learned was that you should have been started on a lower dose, 50mg/day for a week and then slowly increased in up by 25mg/day/week until you found your "sweet spot". Otherwise, starting to high can create pain that is unlike anything you ever experienced before. I would not stop cold turkey but I would cut back to 75mg once in the morning and once at night until you can talk to your doctor. I used to take over 300mg a day but now only need 150mg a day. It really is a good medicine as long as your not rushed up the mg on it.

I never had my hands bloat but have have abdominal bloating as my dosages were increased but usually I could manage that with walking. I wish you luck.
