Vyvanse And Morphine

My husband is prescribed Vyvanse 70 mg a day but has been taking morphine over 100 mg a day. He has his yearly physical from his doctor that prescribes him Vyvanse in 3 days. He thought this "physical" was to test if Vyvanse was hurting his liver or kidneys and that it was something the government made doctors do if the prescribe controlled substances. However, after reading up on things, it sounds like doctors are doing drug tests to 1. See if you are taking anything else that is not prescribed to you and 2. If you are taking what that doctor is prescribing to you. Can anyone give their opinion on this? And, if they are testing for other drugs, will the morphine show up? He hasn't taken any since yesterday (Saturday) and his "physical" is on Tuesday?

If he has been taking it regularly, yes, there is a good chance that it will show up, according to FDA warnings. It is also warned that both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and insomnia.

How did his test turn out?

Is he on any other medications?
