Vyvanse Affects

My 8 year old daughter is on 40 mgs of vyvanse it helps her focus but makes her head hurt and if I don't feed her before she will not have a appetite all day.The first time today I gave her cereal and milk and about 4pm she through up

This is a stimulant drug, so loss of appetite can be a normal side effect that some people experience, when taking it. The headaches are also a common side effect, along with the nausea. She may also experience dizziness, nervousness and insomnia.

How long has she been taking it? Most of the typical side effects will wear off, after about 4 to 6 weeks, once her body gets used to the medication. However, if they don't, or if they worsen, she may need to be switched to a different medication, as this might not be the right one for her to take.

This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming.
