Vyvanse, Viibryd, And Oxycodone

I've been taking oxycodone 30mg for 3 years now, have been taking Vyvanse 40mg for 7 months, and have had no issues until recently. I just snap out & start screaming over the most minor things, have absolutely NO motivation, & just want to curl up in bed & cry all day. I saw my doctor who put me on Lexapro 10mg & after taking the very 1st dose at bedtime, I woke up drenched in sweat, freezing, dizzy, shaking, lethargic, confused, pale & clamy, muscle spasms, & nausea the next morning & it lasted ALL day long. My doc told me to stop taking it & gave me sample packets of Viibryd to try tonight but I'm scared to death & don't EVER want to feel that way again. Has anyone ever taken the Vyvanse, Oxycodone, & Viibryd combo successfully?

Hi Magoo,

Sorry to hear about your experience with those drug combinations.

Based on my research though, there are potentially dangerous drug interactions listed between Vyvanse and Viibryd, as well as Oxycodone and Viibryd.

Apparently, taking either of those drug combinations can significantly increase your risk of developing serotonin syndrome. Many of the side effects you mentioned could possibly be attributed to that. So you may want to discuss this further with your doctor if you feel that it's still a serious concern.

I hope this info helps!
