Vocal Chord Paralysis (Top voted first)
UpdatedI have lost my voice and have been told that my left vocal chord is not working. Is there any medical data on the reaction.

Hi Michael....I was diagnosed with a paralyzed vocal cord last November. It took about 5 months to heal, after going into the hospital for a scope and two different physician's opinions. Do not despair. It will heal itself. Take care of your voice. Do not strain it and do not lose hope.
Only a Dr. who orders tests could tell you what is causing it, whether it will heal and how long it may take.
