Why is there a shortage of Vivarin?

Good stuff has stimicin in it. Not caffeine. Jet zone is cheaper than viva run makes you feel just as bad. Early vivarin in was fantastic. Quit using it when they changed the formula. Went in circles until I figured something was wrong. Made some bad decisions on the pure caffiene. I have never found a replacement

I don't take it, but my husband has used it for YEARS. His response to any medication is very accurate/consistent (in my opinion). There has definitely been some sort of change to the formula. The milligrams of caffeine my be the same, but this is NOT the same Vivarin. In my husband's case, it is not as effective.

They never said what the actual problem was, just a temporary problem. I did find 3 boxes at Walgreen's today.

Cool that they sent you a sample.

This shortage and the demand around it confirm my suspicion about how many people actually take Vivarin lol.

I contacted the company. They say they are in full shipments again after a temporary problem. They also said even though the are in full motion sales they are flying off the shelves. I haven't found any yet. They said to check Walmart and Walgreens. I won't shop Walmart so I will check Walgreens. They also sent me a sample.

Thanks for this info.

It seems like this shortage came soon after the box re-design from the typical lower case yellow and blue box to the slicker black and yellow box - I swear there was a formula change right around this time because it seemed to affect me differently. Anyone else detect this?

I contacted Vivarin on their FB page. They verified a Minor Supply problem and it should be back on shelves as of July 1st.

I'm sorry, but since this is an over the counter product, shortages aren't required to be reported, so I've been unable to find any information on it.

This is just something that contains caffeine, which is sold as an alertness aid, so you can effectively achieve the same thing with any store brand/generic, or caffeinated drinks.

Is there anything else I can help with?
