Vision Side Effects While Taking Topiramate

I was recently prescribed 25mg 1x daily to aid in weight loss. After 4 weeks of taking the medication with no side effects, this past weekend I noticed blurriness in the eyes and trails when I turned my head from left to right. I've also been having a tough time just focusing on objects. I've now been off of the medication for 4 days.Since then I've been to my eye doctor, had a full dilation, exam, etc. My eyes, optic nerves, etc. are all 100% healthy. Has anyone else suffered this particular side effect? If so, how long does it take for normal vision to return?

Yes, this medication has been known to cause various ocular side effects, including blurred vision, visual disturbance, and reduce acuity, according to NIH reports.

How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? It may take a few weeks for things to fully return to normal.

Are you on any other medications?
