I have just ordered some visine workplace through canada pharmacy online. it has the same ingredients as vlr. for some reason it is packaged differently in canada.

I, like everyone else here, suffer from red eyes. I've tried very eye drop on the market, and nothing works like Visine LR. I like you cannot find the product anywhere. I called Johnson & Johnson yesterday, April 23, 2010, and they confirmed that the product has not been discontinued, but they had trouble with their new distributor. It will be back on the shelves within 6-8 weeks.
Until then, the Afrin Nasal Spray works just the same as Visine LR. A little better, really. This is the first time my eyes have been white since I ran out of my LR one month ago. The B&L didn't work for me at all and everything else is garbage. It's pretty much the same ingredients and will serve as a substitute until the real thing comes out.

Are you actually putting Afrin Nasal decongestant in your eyes?

Ditto on the crazy, almost addiction-like behavior with VLR. Its like a support network here. Happy to hear it's not being discontinued but I have found recently that my eyes have stopped being as red as when I was taking the product, a-hem, daily. And nothing does the job, however, like VLR.

Migster, I have been using the Afrin for a few days now. I think that's your best bet if you want the oxymetazoline ingredient. Afrin seems to be made of the same stuff as Visine LR. Give it a try.

I tried the supposedly multisympton but it's crap, it made my eye redder that what it is. I also try the new one that is in a red packaging (kinda like the packaging of the new multi-sympton). Same effect, made my eye redder. None of these have the oxymetazoline HCL ingredient which only works or my eye irritation :( I could not even find it at drugstore.com... it's been replaced with Visine AC. WTH is going on? Is there any other product that has the Oxymetazoline ingredient? HELP!!!

Afrin Nasal spray has the same active ingredient (Oxymetalzoline) as Visine LR. I tried it out and it seems to work great. The only difference that I can see between Afrin and Visine LR is that Afrin is double the strength of Visine (0.05% versus 0.025%). So use half the amount (instead of 2 drops, use 1 drop).

Sorry, it's Canada Pharmacy, not Canadian.

I'm also having problem finding Visine LR, my sister uses it and thats the only eye drops that works for her. I went to many different stores and no results. I purchased the new multi symptom eye drops but it doesn't work. I've checked on Amazon, they are out of stock.

Hahahaha....wow i thought i was the only one that used this stuff. Its the only redness reliever that has worked for me. Other eye drops and other forms of visine actually my my redness/dryness worse. I have been online for hours trying to find the visine LR like you others...hahaha. I panicked and was afraid i was going have to stay home for months. I am going to try the bausch and lomb like others recommended until the visine LR is back on the shelves. thanks so much guys.

I will vouch for Mangog, Bausch and Lomb Redness Relief does work. I was skeptical but it really does work.

Same ingredient as Nostrill nose spray. Try pouring that into an eyedrop bottle.

OcuClear was the superior product by far. It was a sad day for the consumer when Visine took over the market. It does not work nearly as well as OcuClear. Surely this was a business decision. I would have paid any reasonable price for OcuClear. This is a life lesson for me. Visine BAD.

I found this website way too late! I have been searching for these beloved drops in Ohio for months, and simply thought my drug store ran out. Then I noticed that all stores were out! You don't know how I felt when the last drop was squeezed out of that bottle a week ago. I tried regular Visine....yeah works about as good as tap water.. People don't understand why I'm so upset about this, until I ask them what the one product is that they can't live w o....everyone has one, and this was it for me!! All websites are now out.

I work at a Wal Mart pharmacy and the product has not been discontinued on our system just no shipping activity at all. I was forced to buy Bausch and Lomb Redness Relief and people it works just as good, I was skeptical but it really does work and for at least 6 hours too.

Check around for Visine Workplace Eye Drops [1] or Claritin Eye Allergy Relief [2] from Canada - they are supposed to have the same active ingredient and is listed on the Health Canada web site. I myself haven't been able to find any yet but if anyone else has luck please let me know!

"Each mL contains oxymetazoline HCl USP, 0.25 mg (0.025%) in a clear, sterile isotonic, buffered aqueous solution. Nonmedicinal ingredients: benzalkonium chloride, boric acid, disodium edetate, purified distilled water and sodium chloride. The pH is adjusted to approximately 6.4 with sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid."
