Because every surgeon has their own unique set of rules to follow before and after the operation it would be best to schedule an appointment with the surgeon to ask him directly.

When you schedule a consultation prior to the surgery, remind them to discuss medications that you may or may not take, any prescriptions and how to use them, and how to prepare for the day of your surgery.

Additionally, the surgeon usually gives the patient a list of pre and post operative care instructions to follow before going in. These instructions include what you should and should not be taking prior to and after the surgery. If you did not receive this I would ask them well before going in.
