Vicodin Prescription Change - Will A Pharmacy Fill It?

My Dr. has increased my Vicodin prescription from 5mg to 10mg. I filled the 5mg about 2 weeks ago. In Illinois, will my pharmacy fill the 10mg prescription, or will I have to wait for the 30 day mark?

In most cases, they should fill the new one, but it is actually up to your pharmacy, it really depends on their concern about you doubling up on the Acetaminophen by taking 2 of them.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
