The general answer is 72 hours unless you have liver problems. I take a urine test every two weeks at a clinic, very high level testing. They are looking for .001 nanograms of oxycodone in your urine. I took 200 mg of oxycodone on Sunday night and passed with ease on Thursday afternoon. You can calculate the half life detection time by taking the total miligrams of oxycodone you took most recently in a 24 hour period (i.e, 100mg) and divding by 2 until you get to .001. For every time you divide a number by 2, add 4 hours. So it would look something like this

100/2 = 50 4 hours
50/2 = 25 4 hours
25/2 = 12.5 4 hours

and you keep doing this until you get to .001. Once you have that .001, add up all of the 4 hour increments and that is how long you will need to generally pass a urine analysis. Boom!!

it sounds good but far from accurate..i get tested at my pain doctor and at work,both expecting different results..i can do 300 mg of oxy one day and two days later piss clean on a mass spectograpy test..d.o.t...

Almost correct. Here's the deal...If you are being tested for oxycodone using high level testing such as GC/MS, the cuttoff is 100 ng/ml to produce a positive result. Now the question is how long does it take to get below 100 ng/ml. The half life is 3.51 but you should probably round up to 4 to be safe. One milligram is equal to 1 million nanograms.

Example:
5 MG = 5,000,000 ng/ml

So in order to figure out how many hours it would take to eliminate/metabolize oxycodone below 100 ng/ml would be to take the five million and divide it by two. then take what's left and divide that by two. Continue this process until you reach lss than 100 ng.

1. 5000000 divided by 2 = 2500000 (4 hours)
2. 2500000 divided by 2 = 1250000 (4 hours)
Continue process until below 100 ng/ml

At 68 hours we have 76.29 ng/ml in the body. I usually would say give it one extra half life (4 more hours) to ensure that their is not excess metabolites left in your blatter. So in this case, if you took a 5 mg oxycodone, your would be technically clean after 68 hours. 72 if you want to play it safe.

Hope this helps someone who is worried out there. I will say that I have read what seems to be every article on the internet regarding oxycodone detection and their have been case studies that state oxycodone levels drop below the detection limit of GC/MS within 2 days. If your are worried about passing I would highly suggest exercising and drinking lots of water. The faster your metabolism, the quicker it is gone.
