Normally, they want to take these types of medications in the morning, so it is in your system and working during the peak times of day that you are most active and your BP or heart issues may experience the most fluctuations.

It can be taken with, or without food, so you can decide that for yourself, unless your doctor has given you specific instructions. It can cause some nausea, so some people find it better if they take it with food, to help minimize that.
