Venofer (iron Sucrose) - Sugar Substitute?

Does anyone know if the venofer infusion is made with a sugar substitute? I am epileptic and have a sugar substitute seizure trigger among other things. I recently started venofer and have my 4th infusion tomorrow for my anemia. I have had increased seizure activity and headaches, as well as an upset stomach the day after, to where I cannot leave the house. Any info will be helpful. Thank you.

I didn't find any listed as being in it, according to the manufacturer's website. My husband is allergic to them, so I am always on the look out for them under their various names and forms.

Headaches can be a normal side effect, according to FDA reports, the seizure activity is listed as being due to the possibility of being hypersensitive to it. Have you informed your doctor of the issue?

Are you on any other medications? Has anything else changed in your normal routine, recently?

Thank you for your response. I am on a lot of other medication, for epilepsy (lamicatal, topamax, and Ativan.) And for Lupus/ra (orencia infusion/cymbalta).
My daily stressors have not changed, the only thing since my infusion that HAS changed is I'm not chomping on cups and cups of ice driving my husband bonkers:). Well besides increased seizure activity, constant headache, nausea, and upset stomach day after infusion. I have not told Dr. Yet, missed infusion today. I was not able to make it with as lousy as I was feeling. I did tell reception why I was rescheduling. I will be sure on monday to speak with him and contact neurologist. I will post back.
