My wife is pregnant and she has been using Valparin Chrono from last 5 years.Morning and night 300 mg.As she become pregnant Please let me know there will be any side effects on babay? Any additional vitamin supplimnet need to have? There is any risk on both mother and baby? Is any side effects on kidny?

I am suffering from Migraine from past 3 years. Recently when i have consulted the doctor he has advised me to take Valpatin Chrono 200 mg. When my migraine is siviere i take Microcid or vasograin. I am just 28 years old. Hope these tablets will not cause me having child.

My son was suffering from fever. When he was playing suddenly his eyes were wide open for 1-2 minutues & his temperature was 102.5. We admitted him hospital & after fever treatment doctor adavised EEG. After EEG report doctor suggested VALPARIN 200 for six months. What is the reason it happened to my son? Is there any side effect of Valparin 200/ syrup 2 ml for 3 three years , his age is 9 month now

this is effect of epilepsy, moreover the medicines have the side effect, but better than the disease. epilepsy is the different kinds and symptoms, but patients who are taking the medicines since long alongwith the sleep medicines, may affect the conceiving the child, and epilepsy is the inherintal disease...i pray MAY ALLAH NOT GIVEN THIS TYPE OF DISEASE TO ANY OTHER..AMEEN. as my very and loverly brother is also suffering from the same disease.

sodium valproate has a risk of terrattogenicity and neural tube disorders. Nothing to worry your dr might have added folic acid to take care of such happenings. Here the risk benefit will be considered, as otherwise the mother may develop seizures and can cause abortion,

please consult the doctor before stopping any medications in epilepsy. if you are controlled in valparin chrono 500mg, pl continue until your dr advices anything else. please consult your doctor periodically. About the disease, dont worry, you can continue a normal life like others... you know that you are in company of Great Cricketers like Tony Greig and Jonty Rhodes
