V One Side Yellow Pill 3601 Compared To M367 Both At 10 325 In Strength
UpdatedI was normally given the yellow v 3601-10/325pill & at CVS yesterday they gave me a white oblong pill with # M367 on the front also 10/325 in strength . The white oblong does not work for me as well as the yellow v pill. Why not ? I've been thru this with CVS before & even changed CVS locations just to get the yellow v pill. Now that CVS is giving me the white oblong M367. What can I do about it??? They say yellow pill will be out of stock til later. It's sooo frustrating!

There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one generic to another. For most people the changes are insignificant and have no effect, but you may be sensitive to them.
In most cases, if you wait a couple of weeks, your body will adjust to the new ones.

Unfortunately, there's really nothing you can do about which one your pharmacy provides you with, that really depends on which one they can get for the cheapest price.
And they may not be able to order the other one in for you right now, since there are limits on how much of any controlled substance medication they can order and stock per month.
The only other suggestion I can make is to talk to your doctor and ask if they can write your prescription as brand medically necessary. Then the pharmacy would have to provide you with the brand name, so there would be no fluctuations.
The main drawback with that is if you don't have insurance, you're going to have to pay a higher price.
Have you discussed it with your doctor, yet?
Same thing just happened to me! I am wondering if Walgreens will take these white ones back...they can say what they want, but they do NOT work like the yellow ones. I got a 1 month script, & there's NO way I can go a month on these. :( I found 2 yellow I still had, took those, and they worked. Help anyone?
I have the exact same problem. I have been on the yellow pill for years because I have chronic pain & can't take any n-saids or pain meds like advil or over 1800 mg of Tylenol. I went through this with CVS about 5 years ago. They insisted it is the same med. well it is not. The white pill is not as effective & makes me itch like crazy. I don't know what can be done about this but I am at my wits end. CVS probably gets the white pill at a cheaper cost. I am so frustrated.
They are the same stop acting like a feen
Sad to say, but the Rx can't take back medication once it has been dispensed. That is against Federal law. Next time check your meds in the Rx and if they give you the weak white M367s, simply tell the pharmacist, No Thanks, I'll take my script elsewhere because these suck. They know they are weak, but they must sell what they have. But remember you are the one that is hurting and it will be you that suffers! Hydrocodone is a huge seller, and most Rx's get shipments of it daily, so they could get the yellow pills within a couple days if they actually care about their customer.
Actually they're not the same and for you to assume someone is a fiend (correct spelling) shows how ignorant you are. Who are you to rate someone else's pain or how a certain drug reacts with their body? Smh

Re: Serious (# 7)
I just got slammed at Walmart. I have been on the 10mg yellow hydrocodone for nearly three years....WM gave me the white 367's, which are not working for my pain and a completely different feeling...color me "pissed off"!
Re: Jeff (# 2)
you are right there is a difference I can feel it.
The city I live in is about 140,000 and i don't know of a pharmacy that is selling any hydrocodone other than the white M 367 made by Mallinckrodt. They do not work in my opinion. I've had a lot of surgeries and needed them, and grew up in the era of brand name! Generic can vary within 20% lower or higher. I think FDA should make this available to us, the exact amounts of fillers, binders and main ingredients, such as hydrocodone or codeine or etc!! And I want proof of these accusations about Co. such as Purdue forcing Drs to get patients very addicted!! I want proof!
