Would like to know what antibiotic this is. V is on one side and 5838 is on the other.

Is the marking possible 5898 V? The numbers are a little difficult to read.

If so, then this tablet contains 800mgs of Sulfamethoxazole and 160mgs of Trimethoprim, the active ingredients in the antibiotic Bactrim, which is used to treat various types of infections.

Side effects may include: nausea, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
