Uti And Naproxen

Can naproxen sodium 550mg help with uti infection pain while peeing? I was trying to see if it lessens the pain.

It might help a little, but you would likely get more relief from Phenazopyridine, it is available over the counter in most drug stores.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, discolored urine, and stomach pain.

However, it is specifically used to alleviate the burning and pain that occurs with a UTI. You may want to look for it, if your doctor approves of you trying it.

Are you also on an antibiotic?
