Using To Treat Pms

I have been prescribed this tablet by my dr to treat symptoms of PMS but only take it for day's 15 to 28 of my cycle, has anyone used it for this purpose and felt better? Thanks

Citalopram is an SSRI antidepressant and the main problem with taking it this way is that it really needs to be taken regularly, all the time, in order for it to have a beneficial effect. These types of medications can't be taken occasionally, or just as needed.

Thus, if you're only taking it for 14 days, then you really aren't even giving the medication a chance to help you.
