Use Of Cetapin Xr 1000 Mg Tab

I have my blood sugar level-Fasting 143.My Doctor has advised me to take CETAPIN XR-1000. How long shall I have to take it? Can I discontinue it when my sugar level lowers down to within limits. Also is the swelling in both feet becoz of sugar?

my insulin fasting was 11.8 my doc prescribe me cetapin xr 1000mg.........is this medicine for sugar....
