Use Of Amoxi-clav 625 For Hand Wound

My hand has been cut by a mirror and the doctor told me that this antibiotic would be helpful. I have taken the medicine for 5 days but it didn't work. Kindly tell me which medicine I should take to recover from my pain and a gap of skin in the hand?

What were you expecting this medication to do?

It is an antibiotic that is used to treat, or prevent bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including diarrhea, nausea, dizziness, headache, and non-allergic skin rash.

However, it is not going to help the cut heal any faster than usual.

Are you on any other medications?
