Use Of Wysolone Tablet 5mg

I am now 60 yrs. of age
I had a Rhino surgery 12 years back(1999)
From 2006 I had complete loss of smell and could get taste of ONLY sweet,sour &salt,& no flavors
In the end of Nov. 2009 I was prescribed solone tablets(3 a day 10mg)The next day I could get normal smell &taste.
After a couple of months the dosage was reduced,various combinations of dosages were tried including 5mg.every alternate day.
At present 5mg. a day keeps my smell & taste intact.
Usually I feel a LOSS of smell after DEEP SLEEP as also after intake of Alcohol and ice ETC.
I must add that after taking such medication for almost 2yrs.I have not put on weight or had any health setbacks or common fever or cold.
Kindly advise.

Has your doctor advised you to continue using it?

Wysolone contains Prednisolone, which is a steroid class medication, it's used to treat various conditions, such as swelling and allergic reactions.

However, long-term use of it can cause some serious side effects, such as weight gain, immune suppression and others.
