Urine Drug Testing For Opana - What Is It? (Top voted first)

I'm on Opana IR 10mg but have been throwing them up bc I've been sick & have issues swallowing. The doctor knows this but still... Anyway, I just wanted to ask, if I take oxycodone and still have opana to take before my appt, and she does a urine dip in office, what does it show as? Or would it show as the same - opiates? I've seen several posts saying that oxycodone will show as oxymorphone but oxymorphone won't show as oxycodone. Is that possible?! I have scripts for oxy, opana & even Vicodin, so I can cover myself if need be. And I'm sure she will understand why I had to take the other med. I just want to know what to expect. And oxymorphone is not oxycodone & morphine right? I've been itching a lot since starting opana and I've been wondering what could be causing it.

Ur good, u have it backwards. Opana tests as xycodone, not the other wsy around. Good Luck

No oxymorphone is not a combo of oxycodone and morphine. For every 10mg of Opana you would have to take 20mg of oxycontin and 30mg of morphine to somewhat equal the Opana. Its an incredibly powerful drug and your body obviously cannot handle the dosage that is whats causing the vomiting and itching, without a doubt. I'm surprised your doctor is letting you continue the medication considering that because its an obvious sign the drug itself or the dosage is not something your body can handle. Since it is so powerful, it is very difficult to get a prescription for Opana. Obviously you don't have to answer this but I'm curious what you "medical necessity" for this prescription is (or diagnosis)? It's pretty reckless of your doctor to prescribe all three of the opiates you mentioned at once. I'm curious, what state are you in? And what's your age range, if you don't mind my asking?

The only reason I'm so curious is because I work in the medical field and I currently have a prescription for percocet, muscle relaxers, tramadol, etc. because my L5 disk in my back has been out of place and on my S1 nerve for years. I have also developed a very painful hip issue because of this. So in addition to the shooting pain I have in my back, buttocks, leg, toes and foot, (I also have very painful tingling and throbbing in my toes, leg and foot as well) the back part of my leg is numb and a few of my toes are too, its been this way for a few years now but the hip thing is new pain that is incredibly difficult to handle compared to the other pain. Since the hip issue started I've seen several doctors all of which have given different reasons/diagnoses for my evolving hip problem. One doctor even told me the other doctors are wrong but offered no diagnosis of his own except to tell me I have a bleeding ulcer as a result of taking ibuprofen, then he proceeded to prescribe more ibuprofen, which is obviously not medically sound considering his own words. I'm sure you're not interested in my medical issues but I wanted to offer an explanation as to why I'm so curious about your medical issue, prescription, age and state. I'm sorry to hear about the negative effects you're experiencing with the Opana, its without a doubt because its too much for your body.
