Urine Drug Test For Codeine

My husband was very sick last week. He got a prescription for codeine cough syrup from the doctor. He went back to work yesterday and was randomly drug tested. He is not worried about it showing positive for codeine. He IS worried because he thinks he took more than was prescribed to him. Should he be worried? It wasn't anything he did on purpose.

Since they are not the prescribers and have no information on the rest of his medical history to know what levels should be in his body, it is unlikely they will even bother to look at them. It is very likely that they just look for the presence of certain drugs and not anything else.
