Urine Drug Test For Amphetamines

I am prescribed 30 mg Adderall 4 times a day and my Dr. keeps testing me! Is she looking for levels? And what should my levels be?

Most doctors will do drug testing to make sure that you are taking the medication as prescribed and not selling it, or abusing it by taking more than prescribed. They will also check for other drugs when doing the same test.

As to what your levels should be, I don't have that information, because it is based on the dose, dosing frequency, your height, weight, overall metabolism, activity levels and etc.

However, as long as you are taking it as prescribed, you should have nothing to worry about.

She has not said anything, but I don't always take it as perscribed! I have been in the medication for over 6 years and never had an issue! But all of a sudden. She is testing frequently! I just was not sure why. I'm pretty sure my levels were not that high when she tested and didn't know if that was an issue!

You need blood test for levels, the urine test is due to new laws meant to crack down on abuse. All doctors are now required by law to test. This is two fold in that it lets the Feds monitor the doctor and its screens you for self medication (example valium or weed) which would require the doctor to cut you off because you are not following his/her orders. Many people have lost their scripts due to self medication. As a result, herion use has increased in this area.

im goin to pain management and had to buy synthetic urine in case they test me cuz ill test positive for percs im prescribed aderral and need it to show up in the synthetic stuff If I dissolve it will it show up

I'm sorry but that is a very high dosage in my opinion as someone who has been prescribed adderall now for 20 years. My dosage is at 30mg 2 times daily. I know for me anyways that unless you are getting a crappy generic version of adderall, then there is no reason to be taking that much a day and yes your doctor is probably covering her ass because it's a big red flag when a patient is prescribed that much daily. Unless you absolutely need to never get any sleep, because you work 24 hours everyday, that amount indicated abuse because the drug stops working well in such large doses. So yeah you're either likely selling some and taking some or you are just abusing it and haven't learned to take breaks from it and so your tolerance is through the roof.
