After taking for 5 years, toviaz just quit working. Is it normal to build up a resistance? Will it start working again if I keep using it? ## Hello, Corky! How are you? Yes, our bodies will eventually become tolerant to anything that we ingest regularly for a long period of time. There is no precise time frame for it, it varies from person to person, but it is completely normal. And no, you'll most likely need to try a different medication. Taking a break from it, for awhile, may enable to work again for you, in the future. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Toviaz as possibly include nausea, dizziness, blurred vision and dry mouth. The pain in the bladder area is like strong pricks, pins or cramps. It is continuous all the day and sometimes I can't sleep on my abdomen side because of the pain, in addition to the burning during urination. What time is best to,take oxybutinin? I seem to be up at least 3 times a night...I take mine in the morning. I have been experiencing a burning irritation inside my vagina and it's been 4 days now and I also got burning sores on my labias, and not to forget that it's burning when I urinate.... I was put on Oxybutynin 6 months ago by my Urologist. How long does it need to be taken? ## Hi Bunny, From what I could gather, the standard dose of Amoxicillin for dogs is reportedly 5 mg for every pound the dog weighs [administered every 12 hours], or 10 mg per pound [administered every 24 hours]. I haven't come across any specific details concerning the duration of treatment, but I'd imagine that it would differ on a case by case basis depending on the type and severity of the infection.
