As you probably know, the manufacturers have temporarily stopped producing the above & believe they will re-commence sometime in quarter 4 of this year. My doctors have tried me on Half Securon Verapamil Slow Release & most recently Slozem Diltiazem Hydrochloride - I feel sick as a dog with the latter - hot flushes, lack of appetite & worst of all a feeling like I have a bad stomach with a knot as though I have eaten something bad. Drs now saying I probably have stomach ulcers but I'm very sure it's the Slozem as it only started when I took Slozem. Do you know any alternatives closer to Univer Verapamil Prolonged/Release Capsules in their make-up, please? I seem to get no where with doctors & have been waiting 3 months for a hospital pharmacist to look at this same question so curious if you can give guidance - thank you. I had virtually no symptoms with Univer Verapamil Prolonged/Release Capsules.

Hello, Pete! How are you? I am very sorry about what you're going through.

Why not just try a different medication? There are others that are available that might not cause you these types of problems. I am not sure which ones are available where you live, but there are definitely others that you can try.

The FDA lists their typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension.

Is there anything else I can help with?
