United Healthcare Mailing Out Fake Colonoscopy Finger Stick

United Healthcare mailed me (unsolicited) a finger prick test, saying it is to be "mailed back to UHC" in place of a colonoscopy. It does not ask for a stool sample like the normal kits. I called my primary care doctor and he said "blood work cannot tell if you have colon polyps". Seems more like invasive phishing for pre-existing conditions. I DM'd UNITED HEALTHCARE on TWITTER and they did NOT dispute this! I then tweeted it out to alert others to throw it in the garbage. They apologized for "your frustration" but they never denied that the test was a bald-faced lie. I threw the kit in the trash and my colonoscopy is in 2 days. I have a history on colon polyps so even the stool kit would not be for me. NEVER mail bloodwork to ANY insurance carrier. The transmission of blood work needs to follow a specific protocol. Very reckless to mislead the public in this way. SHAME ON UNITED HEALTHCARE.

If anyone gets this envelope, paperwork, and finger prick plastic kit, posing as an "alternative colonoscopy", it's phishing for pre-existing conditions.
