Unicontin

I'm suffering from Bronchitus, i also have the habbit of smoking but for the last one month i'm not having it.
i'm taking deriphyllin , unicontin and one antiboitic tablet.is it fine to take all.

Deriphyllin contains Etofylline and Theophylline, it is used to treat asthma.

Side effects may include nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and funny taste in mouth.

The Unicontin also contains Theophylline.


Since Etofylline is not available in the U.S., I am having trouble locating much information on it and any possible interactions.

And as to the antibiotic, I cannot look up information on that, without knowing which one it is and which class it is in.

You can, however, have your pharmacist/chemist provide you with this information.

Can you post back with more information on the antibiotic?

The Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic that is used to treat many different types of infections.

Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea.

As to using it with the Theophylline, which as I said is the only thing that I can check it against...

It is actually advised that they NOT be used together. The Ciprofloxacin can cause you to absorb too much of the Theophylline.

Is your doctor aware that you are using both?
