Unable To Get An Oxycodone Prescription Anymore

I live in Phoenix AZ. I have been on oxycodone 30mg #120 for the last 5yrs. I have double curve scoliosis,arthritis all in my back, 1 herniated disc and DDD, lupus and graves disease. 2 months ago my doctor told me he could not prescribe the 30mg's because the government said they are being diverted and sold and the money is being used to fund the terrorists. I said and how does that involve me? He said I know your not a terrorist but I still can't give them to you. He gave me the 15mg which I tried for the month and I was in excrutiating pain. The next month he said sorry but now I can't have any and he switched me to Nucynta which I had an allergic reaction to! I am allergic to Morphine, Fentanyl, Dilaudid, Vicodin and other meds. I am running out of options for meds to take here and the doctor tried to put me down to 10mg and said that I have to get off all of my meds! How can they do this to us that have verified legite pain? I can not get by one motrin or tramadol!! I complained to the Medical Admin. there. First I was told it was because of the terrorists, then it was that I didnt have enough pathology for the meds-which I went balistic on after validating my MRI, then it was that they are being forced by the government due to all the overdoses and suicides, mainly with all the stars! Again, what does that have to do with me? I follow every single rule to the tee! I pass all the drug tests every visit, have the right pill count every visit, I only use the one pharmacy and one doctor!! I can not get out of bed with out my medicine, let alone work or go anywhere! I have to work to survive!! I have done all the injections and therapys they have asked me to do which never help and they make a ton of money off of me. I am at my wits end here and because of all my allergies I am limited! I can only take the oxycodone type medicines. The doctors truely do not care about me. I am ready to try to get together a class action lawsuit with who ever wants to join me because they are not managing my pain! They are actually causing me more pain and I feel this is negligent and malpractice. Quite honestly I am to the point that I am suicidal over the pain and the doctor just keeps cutting me more and more and actually told me to go find another doctor then if I think someone else will give it to me. You know how sad this is? I was originally on Opana ER 20mg and Soma . First they cut my Opana down to 5mg(which I can not find anyone to fill that either due to reconstituting it, changing the formula so it can not be crushed for people to inject or smoke. I have no problem with that at all, just give me the meds that work! Next visit they took my soma away and said that Soma cant be taken for more than 2 wks as it can cause harm after that! Ive taken it 3x day for 5 years and my labs are fine! The ultimate was the next cut of my oxycodone! What are us honest tax paying people of good ole America suppose to do when we are being treated like an addict(which we are dependant on the meds which it totally different than an addict) criminal and now being left to suffer in pain? Our dogs are being treated better than we are!! I think it is time we ban together and stand up against the government that is suppose to be by the people and for the people but is now putting us in the grave and totally disabling us as active, working and productive people. As I know I am useless when I am in pain! If anyone has any more info or advise please please answer and post! God Bless all of you and I pray for some relief!!

This is really scary. Have you read HR3962? This is better known as Obama Care. You can download it on the internet, just do a search for HR3962. It is a 2000 page document but if you start reading on or about page 1450 thru 1500 it talks about how they are going to control PM and make us aware of this and that. I didn't vote for this and neither did you it is being shoved down our throats for us by the people on the hill.

It seems the new regulations have scared many doctors away from prescribing needed medications and many pharmacies from filling such prescriptions.

Yes I have gone to 4 different pain mgnt centers here and all the doctors in this state are following this new rule! This is ridiculous that we have to suffer because of others. This should be a case by case and weed out the addicts and others who are not using it appropriately. It kills me because these doctors have no bedside manor at all. I get oh well its the new law and its to bad but I can't help you. I wish they were in my shoes!

After 23 years of dealing with this stuff, what I have to say to you is to do anything and everything you can and never, I say never give up. If somehow you stumble, pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep on keeping on. The alternative is to jump off a bridge and believe me, you don't want to go there. Having Lupus, Hepatitis C, major depression and a severely herniated disc has made life difficult, to say the least. The reason I keep on is because I only have 2 choices: life and death, which really leaves me with only one choice. I want to live. Every day is hard. I've been on numerous narcotic pain killers and find that Kadian(morphine) is as good as any. Since I've been on morphine for 12 years, it doesn't always seem to work so well. My doctor suggested I try Cesamet. Since it's cannabis drug, at first I thought he was crazy if he thought I was going to take it. But after he explained the science, I agreed to try it. It doesn't work as well as morphine, but it does help. And every little bit helps. A few weeks ago I was given a marijuana brownie to try. It actually worked fairly well. Since it's illegal and I don't want to go to jail, I'm trying to get a medical marijuana permit. I hope I somehow have helped. Ron
