I have 3 sample of foil pks of Ultram Er 100mg Dr. gave me back in 2007 are they still safe

This medication does not become toxic, once it expires, but it does start to lose effectiveness and may not work as well as it did, when new. Thus, it would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new supply, if you the medication is needed.

The U.S. FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
