Does this drug cause headaches?

Another thing to consider, and may be a cause of headaches, is that tramadol has SNRI properties. These are anti-depressant effects. They do inhibit the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine and that could, also, potentially cause a headache. Considering ultracet has paracetamol in it, an analgesic commonly used to alleviate headaches, I would think that the other effects it has on the brain (mentioned above) are likely to cause headaches.

BTW I do realize this question is 10 years old, lol. I just thought I'd add my 2 cents anyway in case someone else happens to have the same question somewhere down the road.

It contains Tramadol, and Acetaminophen, so yes the FDA does warn that it may cause headaches as a side effect. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, constipation, and dry mouth.

Are you on any other medications? Do you normally experience headaches?
