Urine Drug Test For Ambien (Page 2) (Top voted first)

I am in drug court cause I had addiction to lortab. I get drug tested about 2-3 times a week. They are really strick on what we can take, I mean we can't even take advil. I have really bad insomnia and have a prescription of ambien. So my question is will ambien show up in a urine screen???

I just graduated drug court and they do have tests that will test u for zolpidem which is ambien..i should know i failed a few but the paper they fill out for your test is different then a ten panel test so u would know if they was testing for something different...the best thing is to stay away from it all...i had to in order to get out of drug court

Ambien absolutely , positively does NOT ever , EVER appear as an opiate. The way drug tests work is they measure not the * actual* drug but what the drug metabolizes as once it's worked thru the system into urine. If you test positive for an opiate and the only drug you taken in question is Ambien ( or Zolipem) and you test positive for an opiate, it is most likely a false positive due to a combination of it plus another drug giving the appearance of the metabolate. I work for a pain management Dr, and I give the urine tests. If it is questionable , you tell them, and they will have to send it to a lab that will be able to look for the most common problem drugs - warning ..Benydrl is the culprit for MANY FALSE POSITIVES - if you take it regularly and get what you know to be one. They'll the dr and they will look for it specifically.

Doctors prescribe trazadone for sleep. The fact is its a depression med. But used for sleep also. The doc prescribed trazadone to me and it didn't do anything. Then doc gave me ambein and that has really helped. I usley take a half. If your depressed the trazadone will help, I wasn't depressed I just couldn't sleep.

B.s. Ambien doesn't come up as a false anything. I just took a test for probation today , freeeaking out over the same thing after all the nonsense I read on forums like these the day before. But I took 2 Ambien every night the past few days. Skipped the night before the test tho, and peed completely clean. Ambien is only detected when the lab is told to search for it. Or if you get blood drawn or UAs for the man. (Drug court, avertesting, DUI warrants) they always search it for everything and anything.

That was rude. You're basing this off one guy you saw detoxing 9 months later? He probably didn't wean off properly. If you wean slowly and under guidance of clinical staff, there's no reason anyone should suffer severe withdrawal. Some uncomfortability, yes of course, thats with ANY opiate. Its called Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome. The unfortunate side to harm reduction. But just because I might suffer a little doesn't mean I need to run back to that needle and dope and die. Throw away everything I worked so hard to build. F*** that. Get educated, and stop putting such a bad stigma about methadone out there! It ultimately saves damn lives. And if you have no personal experience on the issue you don't know what you are talking about at all. Fight the stigma.

No Ambien or zolpidem does not come up in a 8 or 10 panel drug test. I've taken many UA drug tests and took zolpidem or ambien the night before and it never showed up in my results. Just take as prescribed only!

I just had an incident where my urine was taken by the nurse at my PCP office. Thinking it was just a check up. I do take ambien and was told after seeing my insurance company billed $3,300.00 and looking up the code that it was a uds.The hospital (Putnum County Memorial Hospital) the received the test is 7 1/2 hours away. When I inquired I had 3-way call with ins. agent and PCP nurse to find out more. In fact ambien does not have a level and they were checking for "illicit drugs". I don't take anything else. And what they didn't know is I am an RN that works in a hospital that performs UDS's all day long. So...There is your answer. Ambien is not a narcotic and there are no tests for it.

hi all i live in mich, an i have a hard time finding opana 40er or oxcontin 80mg at any pharmacy so my dr put me on 4mg dilaudid 3 time a day an i feel like i have not took nothing my neck an back is killing me do anyone think 8mg will help?i hope opana or oxcontin come back soon,thank all,liveing in pain

I am on drug court in Alabama and I have a prescription of oxycodone and fentanyl and I am allowed to have it. However I got in trouble with xanax so I can not have a prescription of those. Whatever u got caught with u can not have a prescription.

Omg! ! You too? I thought I was the only 1 in the world that happened too. I had to get a letter from my doctor to b excused from pee tests to keep from goin in the SHU in prison. So nstead they had to use a cathetor every month!!!¡

yes you can file a lawsuit! Methadone is very powerful drug and if you're taking off of it can cause seizures like I have had many of which I've been lucky just to lose my memory so yes is my answer you can file a lawsuit and no they have no right to take you off of it

Dilaudud is a potent narc, 4 mg is a whopping dose, I've only seen it used at that strength with high tolerance cancer patients. Good luck with that dose, have the narcan ready and teach someone to give it to you.

I live in New York State and there are both Urine and Blood tests specifically for Ambien, Methadone, and especially Suboxone. I'm seen by an Addiction Medicine doctor every month and getting a urine is a monthly thing. I have other pre-existing conditions and whenever I'm asked to get blood drawn I always check out the form I have to give the Phlebotomist. On the form, yes, it says (generically) tox screen but if you're given a different from that has the specific drugs marked that the Phlebotomist has to check for, Suboxone, Methadone, Hydrocodone, PCP, LSD, and lots of others CAN be found in urine and/or blood.
Do like Nightcity says and do not press your luck! Whenever you try to scam the Court, IT WILL FIND OUT EVENTUALLY! Tell your doctor/counselor you need more help and they will help you. At least they're supposed to. If you have one of those ass**** doctors that think screaming at you will get you to straighten up and fly right, then get a different doctor. Drug addiction is a BRAIN DISEASE and deserves the same kind of care non-addicts get..... RESPECT.

Yea I'm on suboxone and it has saved my life. I was on heroin,morphine and other hard stuff then I got on drug court and they say I can't take suboxone. I told them they couldn't make me stop taking it under a doctors care and they told me they could keep me from graduating drug court. Even though I told them my struggles with the other drugs and how suboxone has saved my life that I no longer steal or obsess where my next fix is gonna come from and I actually feel and act normal and my family and other people actually trust me now. Just ain't right that they can take something that doesn't do anything but help me and make me a better person. If they only knew what I was like on drugs,
b4 suboxone.

Good luck ever getting off of methadone. I was in rehab with a guy that was still Dee toxing nine months down the road. You will die from the use of any drugs and you'll probably relapse on your heroin and kill yourself. I suggest you wein yourself over a six month period and get the opiate blocker shot that last a month so even if you try to get hi it's not gonna work. Good luck pal
