Tussionex Ext-rel For Pneumonia Cough?

Inquiry about Tussionex by Tsquare

The doctor, not my regular doctor, prescribed Tussionex (1 tsp twice every 24 hours) and Levaquin (1 750 mg tablet a day, 10 tablets with no refills)

I will be 79 in May, have good diet, do 2 sets of tennis two days a week, have heart-healthy diet, relaxed lifestyle.

My only real health problem has been psoriasis since about age 46, but it has radically moderated beginning at about age 78, and seemed to coincide with onset of male menopause. The methotrexate was prescribed maybe some years ago, but during the past year I have found it possible to reduce pills taken from 3 or 4 2.5mg pills per week to only one per week for the last month or so.

Methotrexate is supposed to suppress the immune system somewhat and has been effective to control the psoriasis, but this bout of pneumonia and my advanced age make me wonder if it might be a good idea to stop the methotrexate altogether and rely on remedy without side-effects
