Tryptomer 25 Mg

Sir,/Madam I am 58 years age,taking tryptomer 25 since last two months. I feel relax but I feel always to sleep. I am taking regularly two pegs of alcohol. Is there any side affect to take alcohol as I am taking rum regularly in the night only since last 20 years . I want sleep always by taking this medicine. please advice me

Trytomer contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, which is a Tricyclic antidepressant and yes, your problem may be caused by mixing it with alcohol.

It can cause drowsiness as a side effect and alcohol can intensify that effect.

It can also be very toxic to your liver, so you shouldn't be drinking while taking this medication.
