Trying To Get Off Of Morphine But I Don't Know What To Do

Almost 40 years ago I was in a car accident and I broke C6 C7 and T1 my neck and back I stay away from Pain Management and pain pills for over 25 years now that throughout the past 12 to 15 years I need them even I'm getting half when I'm a quadriplegic so my primary care doctor told me that he would take over my pain management because he knows I'm not happy with pain management doctor here in Florida with that being said I am on 330 mg instant release morphine and to 30 mg extended-release morphine sulfate ER When is when I see my primary care doctor Thursday I don't know what to say to him other than these are not working I've been on them for 7 years and 4 months and 2 years ago my pain management doctor said you should be on twice what I'm giving you but the governments up my ass I can't help his ass I care about my chronic pain it's totally ate up in my right arm from so much you use and abuse I use a power wheelchair if anybody can help me out there with what type of medication should I talk to about him because this chronic pain it's f****** with me bad and I don't like it I have a high pain tolerance but even the medicine I'm on it's not doing it nowhere near please help me

Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, it is also available in a time released, instant release, and regular release formulations. Another option you can ask about is Fentanyl, which is available in time released patches and it is over 81 times stronger than Morphine, so it is very potent.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Only you and your doctor can help you decide what's right and safe for you, though. Are you on any other medications?
