Trimethoprim Diarrhoea ?

I was given Trimephoprim to be taken twice daily for 3 days for a severe uti,however I have developed the most dreadful water like diarrhoea , is this coincidence or is it like the medication that has caused this?

Diarrhea can be a normal side effect of most antibiotics, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and non-allergic skin rash.

The best thing to do is to make sure you take in enough liquids to avoid dehydration and it should pass, once your finish your course of treatment.
