Trimethoprim & Acid Problems

Could someone please tell me if acid reflux & lower back/ kidney aches are a side effect of taking this drug, (2 × 100mg tablets daily) I am currently on this medication for a kidney infection ?

The kidney and back aches are most likely due to the infection itself.

However yes, the acidity may be due to the medication. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
