Trilipix Dr

My husband has been on Trilipix DR for approx 6 months. About a month ago,he experienced a sudden temporary memory loss that lasted several hours. He was the hospital overnight and a battery of test all proved normal. His chlorestrol was elevated and the hospital Dr increased the Trilipix Dr to 135 mg. He developed severe headaches and extreme fatigue. We called the Dr and he decreased the med but symptoms continued. He finally stopped the Trilipix completely .After reading reviews from several sites, I now believe the memory loss may have been a build up of Trilipix in his system. Has anyone on this site had this type of side effect?

I have been on Tripilix for five days now. I don't have the headache but I notice I keep getting a painful, stiff neck. Also, I have not slept at all in the last two days. Has anyone experienced sleeplessness

being on tripilix for alittle over a month i started getting terrible headaches with stiff neck, heart palpations, extreme fatigue, upset stomach with extreme gas, and numbness in lips and around my mouth which i then decided to stop taking it. I take aciphex for stomach, and Bata Pace for heart palpations so i could not understand why i was having these problems. After stopping tripilix for only two days most of these symptoms have gone away. I am calling my cardo/heart doctor today to inform them of this.

I am going to my doctor this week if I can get in. I was put on Trilipix on June 27th of this year. I did not realize I was having severe memory loss from the beginning of taking the pill. My husband just thought it was natural. My sons thought it was natural, Heaven help me if it was a critical medical problem. I stopped the pill when I became aware of it. Within a day I went back to normal. I will never touch that pill again. I haven't been into my doctor yet to tell him about it. It was good to see that I am not the only person to have this happen, but then again maybe other people are having the same effects but think it's normal. It isn't. I am 72 years old and still have my memory thank God.

Unfortunately, I haven't found anything about Trilipix causing memory loss, but given all of the other possible side effects it can cause, I wouldn't rule it out as being the cause, either. The cholesterol lowering medications are notoriously well known for causing a lot of side effects, and, in general, just making people miserable. The FDA does warn about most of them, including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, stomach pain, and joint/muscle pain, to name a few.

Additionally, due to some study results, medical experts are starting to think that there isn't any strict average number that applies to everyone for cholesterol levels. They are doing studies to determine if they might vary from person to person.

How are you all doing, now?

In many cases, it is best to try to handle it by diet, and exercise, if you can, anyway.
