I am currently taking Tri-Sprintec. I started my first round this past Tuesday. Today, a week and day later I started my period. My physiccian said it was fine to start the doese before the Sunday and 1st day rule. My question is now that I'm on my period do I keep taking the blue pills (I have 13 left) Or do I start taking the white pills? Thanks!

You should continue taking the active pills (blue) just as you are and then take the inactive (white) exactly when you are supposed to take them at the end of the pack.

Break through bleeding, such as starting at an odd time, can be normal when you are new to taking hormonal contraceptives, since your body has to get used to them.
