Tri-previfem - Are White Pills Just Placebo?
UpdatedHello - I take Tri-Sprintec but it has recently changed to Tri-Previfem. Anyways, I was wondering if missing the last 2 white pills in the package (for Friday and Saturday [yesterday]) made any difference at all... and if it's okay for me to just ignore those and begin my next package of Tri-Previfem which starts tonight (Sunday). I wasn't sure if the white pills were really placebo and if it made any difference? Or if there's a very small amount of hormone in them that does matter? Also, I had unprotected sex (he didn't ejaculate in me though) today... would that make any difference by missing those 2 white pills?

No difference I never take sugar pills .Just take on Sunday as planned.
That is correct, the last week of tablets only contain inactive ingredients and do not actually do anything. The only reason they are in the pack is to help women stay in the babit of taking them.
Missing them or having sex after missing them does not put you in danger of pregnancy, as long as you have taken all the other tablets as you were supposed to.
Similar to Megan, I never take the placebo tablets, I leave them in the pack and toss it out.
I have a question when you stopped taking the last 2 white pills did that cause you not to bleed? Or where you still bledding?
So I do not want my period this weekend and I'm taking Tri-Previfem and I read that to possibly prevent it you can just not take the placebo week which is the last week but I have already taken two and would that also mean to start a new month at my scheduled time right away? Or do I wait until the placebo week would end?
But by taking those two pills does that still put me at a higher risk of having my period still?
I have been taking tri-previfem since June 5th, which prior on June 2nd, I had a miscarriage by the pill starting that day. The doctor told me that I can start taking my birth control pills after 3 days from miscarrying which would have been a Sunday starter on June 5th. I have never missed a pill and take it every morning around the same time at 5:50am. But on July 24th my boyfriend and I had unprotected intercourse that morning which was the start of my inactive pills. I begin spotting on July 26th and 27th, and bleed on 28th thru 30th. And spotted on the 31st and ended that night. I also started a new pack on the 31st that morning. I am trying to see is there an possibility that I can get pregnant still from having unprotected sex from July 24th the day to start my inactive pills??
I'm about to start Tri-Previfem and I want to know which pills make you have your period? Is it the week 4 pills that are green? I'm asking so I can be prepared.
