Trepiline And Aterax

I would like to know if one can take Trepiline and Aterax in combination ?

Trepiline contains the active ingredient Amitriptyline, it is a tricyclic antidepressant.

Atarax contains the active ingredient Hydroxyzine, it is an antihistamine, used to treat allergic reactions and for its sedating/calming effects.


They can be used together, but you should know that using both at the same time can cause additive effects, so you should know to watch for certain signs of possible problems, such as: blurred vision, fever, disorientation and hyperactivity.

Were they both prescribed by the same doctor?
